Fees—The $2400 registration fee must be paid. Applicants may pay the registration fee at the same time as the processing fee (total exam fee $2,900). Credit card payments must be made by midnight (EDT). Checks must be post marked to avoid late fees.

No refund will be given for applications that are withdrawn after July 15th.

Registration— begins at Pearson Vue. Register early because seats are reserved on a firstcome, first serve basis. Letters of admission will be emailed prior to the exam date.

Exam Sites—All exams are given at Pearson Vue testing centers. See http://www.pearsonvue.com/abnm for more information.

Late Fee—A late fee of $500 will be assessed for applications, supporting documents, or fees received after the deadlines, although there is no guarantee that the ABNM will accept your application.

Application Withdrawal Fee—The registration fee of $2400 will be refunded if applications are withdrawn prior to July 15th. The $500 processing fee is non-refundable.

Refunds—No refund will be given for not taking the exam, except for circumstances beyond the control of an applicant. The applicant must notify the ABNM by the scheduled date of exam and provide an explanation why it is not possible to take the exam. If the explanation is acceptable to the ABNM, the registration fee of $2400 minus any fees charged by Pearson Vue may be refunded. No refund will be given if the applicant fails to take the exam on the scheduled date without first notifying the ABNM.

Changes in Policies and Procedures—The Board reserves the right to make changes in its fees, policies, and procedures at any time and cannot assume responsibility for giving advance notice thereof. The provisions of this publication are not to be construed as a contract between any candidate and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine.

Cancellation of Exam—Should the American Board of Nuclear Medicine in its sole discretion cancel or as a result of events beyond its control be unable to administer its exam at the appointed date, time and location, the Board is not responsible for any expense the candidate may have incurred in order to be present at the exam.

Exam of Candidates with Disabilities—The American Board of Nuclear Medicine supports the intent of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The Board will make a reasonable effort to provide qualified candidates who have documented and verified disabilities the necessary auxiliary aids and services that do not fundamentally alter the measurement of the skills or knowledge the certifying exam is intended to test, or which result in an undue burden. Please notify the Board in writing with details concerning your disability at the time you submit your initial application to take the certifying exam. Documentation of the disability is required and must be submitted prior to consideration of request for accommodation for disability. Retroactive claims will not be considered. The Board reserves the right to verify your disability. Applicants requiring such accommodation must contact the Board no later than July 1 of the year the applicant wishes to take the exam and request copies of the necessary procedures and form.
